RacketIQ ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the website at getracketiq.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Quiz answers and recommendations. When you take the quiz we send your answers to our recommendation engine and store the generated recommendation. If you are signed in, the recommendation is saved to your account so you can revisit it.
Account information. If you create an account we store your email address, an optional display name, and the authentication identifier provided by your sign-in method (Google, email, or magic link). Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth.
Saved items. When you bookmark gear or a setup, we store the identifier of that item against your account.
Affiliate click events. When you click a "shop" link, we log the product type, brand, model, and a timestamp so we can measure which recommendations resonate. If you are signed in, the click is associated with your account. We do not collect any information from the retailer's site after you leave RacketIQ.
Logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) and database (Supabase) record standard server logs including IP address and user agent. These are retained briefly for operations and abuse prevention.
How we use information
- To generate and improve gear recommendations.
- To save your recommendations and bookmarks across sessions.
- To measure which products and content perform well, in aggregate.
- To detect and prevent abuse of the service.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share information only with the service providers that make RacketIQ work: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), Anthropic (recommendation generation, on a per-request basis with no persistent storage), and affiliate networks (only for the existence of a click, not your identity).
When you click an affiliate link, the destination retailer (Tennis Warehouse, Wilson, Tennis Express, Do It Tennis, Amazon, or similar) sets its own cookies and operates under its own privacy policy. We may receive a commission on qualifying purchases.
Cookies and local storage
We use a minimal set of cookies and browser storage:
- An authentication cookie when you are signed in (Supabase Auth).
- Session storage to pass quiz answers between the quiz page and the results page.
- A service worker cache to speed up repeat visits.
We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
Your choices
You can use RacketIQ without an account. If you create an account you can delete it at any time by emailing the address below; we will remove your profile, recommendations, and saved items within 7 days.
Children
RacketIQ is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be flagged on the website. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
